About Us

Schertz and Schilling Cattle is a family partnership consisting of Wayne & Mary Schilling; Michael, Amy, Taylor, Payton, Skylor & Stratton Schertz; Allen, Tatum, Kambyl & Kynlie Schilling; Greg, Lacy, Kelsea & Grant Schilling; and B.J., Mandi, Avery, & Grayson Schilling.

Schertz and Schilling Cattle is based out of Denton, TX and Lubbock, TX. Our cattle herd consists of around 75 head of exceptionally producing cows, a growing embryo program, and an arsenal of club calf bulls including the pride and new forefront of our operation - "Lightning Jack".

For years Schertz Cattle Company and Schilling Cattle Company have offered our customers the opportunity to purchase quality, competitive show steers and heifers at reasonable prices. We now have consolidated the four herds into Schertz and Schilling Cattle, allowing us to expand our focus and greatly improve the productivity and output of the cattle. Nonetheless, our mission remains the same - a family oriented venture based on Christian dealings that allows us to raise high quality animals and market them at affordable prices, so that all of our customers can have an opportunity to be competitive.

Since 2005, we have marketed our cattle through the "Power of the Plains" club calf sale in Lubbock, TX. The sale has grown in recent years, and we see great things for the future, as we continue to improve the cattle offered through the sale.
